Dr. A. K. Srivastava, IAS, V.C. MDDA, Mr. G. C. Gunavant, PCS, Secretary, Mr. Sanjeev Jain, Superintending Engineer and Mr. Sanjeevan Chandra Soontha, System Administrator MDDA received the “Smart Cities India Award 2019” on behalf of Mussoorie Dehradun Development Authority for Uttarakhand Housing Scheme in the real estate category of 236 participants across the country.

Dr. A. K. Srivastava, IAS, V.C. MDDA and Mr. Sanjeevan Chandra Soontha, System Administrator MDDA received the “National E-Governance Award(2018-19)” on behalf of Mussoorie Dehradun Development Authority for Excellence in District Level initiative in E-Governance (i. North East States + Hilly States ii. Ut’s-including Delhi iii. Other States).

Mussoorie Dehradun Development Authority was awarded “Excellence in best implementation of Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana ” for the best implementation of Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojna in the whole of India during a grand ceremony in “Municipalika 2018” which was organized from 19th to 21st September at Bombay Exhibition Center, Mumbai.

“Municipalika” is an international platform for developing, evaluating and sharing policies, strategies, state-of-the-art technologies and innovations towards smart and sustainable cities.

Through exhibition and conference, it provides a mega networking platform for governments, experts, entrepreneurs and service providers to collectively collect solutions for urban challenges. In which the various institutions of foreign countries participated for better and well planned management of the rapid expansion of urbanization all over the world.

It was the 15th annual celebration of the Municipalika.

On behalf of the Authority, joint secretary SS Negi, superintending engineer Sanjeev Jain and architect Prashant Nautiyal participated in the award ceremony.

Vice President Dr. Ashish Kumar Shrivastav congratulated the allies of all the authorities and said that the Authority has constructed nearly 2000 houses of different categories under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana in the last year and 568 of them have started teaching in general by the masses. is. And about 568 houses will be allocated in the next one month. The remaining houses also have to be completed within 1 year.

Mr. Shailendra Singh Negi , PCS, Joint Secretary and Mr. Sanjeevan Chandra Soontha, System Administrator MDDA, received the “Skoch Award” from the Skoch Group, on behalf of Mussoorie Dehradun Development Authority, under the “Ease of Doing Business” category, for successful implementation of ERP software.

In last 2-3 years our organization has done a commendable job in the field of building infrastructure providing facilities including the transportation. MDDA as a development agency has initiated various projects; few of the important projects are as under.:

• HNB Parking and Shopping complex cum parking complex.
• RAJIV Gandhi Multipurpose Project including parking facility.
• Housing projects of nearly 1500 housing units including EWS category initiated.
• River front development project to protect and beautify Bindal and Rispana rivers of Dehradun.
• Dehradun is among the front runners to be nominated for Smart City project of Government of India.
• World Class PRTS from Transport Nagar to Sai Temple Rajpur Road.
• Maintenance of almost all parks in the city.
• Construction of Foot over bridges and Chain Link Fencing in Rispana and Bindal Rivers.
• Creating Harrawala as satellite railway station to decongest Dehradun city

MDDA also initiated various projects on PPP model by allowing the private partners to build infrastructure which are mentioned as under:

• Intelligent parking management for clock tower and Dispensary Road Parking.
• Kishan Nagar Junction redevelopment Plan.
• Installation of Pre Cast Median at various places in Dehradun city.
• New Road Beautification Project.
• Initiated installation of 30 smart poles across the city.
• Initiated installation of smart traffic signal system.

MDDA, also initiated various projects for improvement of traffic and transportation condition in the city, some of the proposed and underway projects are as follows:

• Construction of Subway at clock tower, Doon hospital junction, SSP office Y junction, Cananl road Y Junction (near Great Value Hotel), Araghar Y Junction, Variable Messaging signboards.
• To Increase road safety new medians/Dividers have been constructed in Dehradun city and along with that streetlights have also been installed for eg. Near Darshan Lal Chowk, Near Nainy Bakery.
• MDDA also initiated a program to redevelop the critical road junctions in Dehradun and Mussoorie City. MDDA successfully completed the redevelopment program of Buddha Chowk Multi Leg Junction and Girisih Bhadri Multi leg junction. Widening of Library Junction area has been completed & Redevelopment of Library junction in Mussoorie is under construction.
• For Buddha Junction redevelopment plan & Library Junction Widening project CSR funds allotted by HUDCO were utilized.
• MDDA, modernized its plan approval process by making the process online in nature, this move by VC MDDA increased the number of plans approved per month and also increased transparency in working scenario.

MDDA received OHSAS 18001:2007 certificate for Occupational Health and Safety Management System from M/s Royal Impact Certification Ltd on 11.04.2018 for Planning and Development of Authority Area .This certificate is valid till 10.04.2019.

MDDA received ISO 14001:2015 certificate for Environmental Management System from M/s Royal Impact Certification Ltd on 11.04.2018 for Planning and Development of Authority Area .This certificate is valid till 10.04.2019.
